SONGS AND SCRIPTS AND DUNKING BISCUITS

Every day tales of a winging-it creative

A couple of months ago I saw a team of young atheletes perform a seamless non-stop routine using movable blocks to create a fabulous, hypnotic show that went on for about 45 minutes.

It incorporated dance and drama alongside athletics, and obvious dedication and discipline. The blocks were constantly on the move to create steps which formed the basis of their routine, whether to climb up or at times to slip, slide and appear through.

The photographs I took on the day, over 30 in all, have been sitting on my computer since, but in response to the Sunday Stills Photo Challenge, temporarily hosted by Hugh Roberts, here are a handful now.

Amazing! It’s a shame you didn’t get video as it must have been very impressive. Jenga meets Twister 🤣

I was hypnotized by them, and taken by their dedication. It was obvious they don’t do much partying like most their age, or they’d never be able to do what they do, it’s was all about precision and teamwork. Glad you liked the photos.

Oh, to be young again, Paul. That must have been amazing to watch. I wonder how long it took for them to train and practice. Did they have a tips tin?

I don’t watch it, but it looks like something that would go down very well on the TV show ‘Britain’s Got Talent.’

Their movements were so fluid, it was hard to take my eyes off them for the whole time. There wasn’t a tips bin as far as I could see!

Naturally Hugh, they asked me to join them next year but if I did, who would take the photos? Gutted!
